 Family

For the past twenty-eight years I have been "Mom" (sixteen years as a single Mom) to three energetic, on-the-move sons. They have kept me young and on my toes with their antics and their testosterone...Their rationale for my inability to "understand" them is, "Mom, it's a guy thing. "The oldest, Ty, is 28 and married to Gina (a wonderful daughter-in-law). He is a plumber, working with a company in Orlando that does commercial and new construction plumbing. The middle, Todd, is 27. He is single, lives in Portland, Oregon, and is an architect. He loves the Northwest and will probably make it his permanent home. By the way, Todd is the one "Gator" in a staunch family of"Seminoles"! The youngest, Troy, is 26 and is currently beginning the long journey called medical school. He has his Master's in Epidemiology and will continue specializing in that field. He has a long-standing girlfriend, Jennifer, who shares his career interest as a Social Worker working with AIDS and HIV patients. And, on a personal note, for the past six years, Gary Farmer, has shared my life. Gary's son, Ian, lives in San Francisco and is a computer programmer. We've tried to spread our kids across the US, so we always have nice places to visit.

Occupation

I am the Grant Writer for Seminole County Public Schools. After fifteen years in the classroom, this is a wonderful way to blend my love for educationwith my English and communication skills. (Thank you, Mrs. Watts, Mrs. Millerand Mr. Patterson)

Hobbies

I love reading and writing. To date, I have one published book, Everything
Makes A Difference
, that I co-authored with Dr. Burt Bertram. Currently,I am working on a children's mystery series entitled, Maggie and the Coastal Cooker. In addition, Gary and I spend much of our time on the sailboat, "Intuition", and
hiking.

Since HHS '60

I graduated from Florida State and did graduate work at University of Tennessee and University of Central Florida. In my first adult life, I was a stewardess for Eastern, a teacher, the wife of an attorney, and the mother of three sons.

In my second life, I live in Maitland (next door to Orlando) with Gary, our dog, Ming and our cat, Yaffa. Many of you are probably wondering who in the world is Jeanne Moon. After high school, I reverted from Nelda, back to my middle name, Jeanne. Which some of you might remember as the name my family always called me.
